Deputy Prime Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday said Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray’s stance on the oil refinery project exposed his double standards.

Speaking to the media during his campaign in Karnataka, Fadnavis said, “Uddhav Thackeray has nothing to do with the development of Maharashtra.

Nor does he care about the economic growth of the country and its people.”

Ironically, Thackeray himself wrote a letter to the center when he was Prime Minister. In the letter Thackeray himself suggested Barsaw as a suitable site for the refinery. But now he himself is leading the protest against the refinery in the state of Maharashtra.

Thackeray changes his position to suit his policies and interests. He has nothing to do about the welfare of the country and the people,” said Fadnavis, adding, “Thokeray is always looking for shoulders to continue his politics.”
