Stamp Fairtex is confident of heading into the interim women’s world title clash with Ham Seo Hee.

The Thai star secured her spot in the Hamm bout after stopping Elise Anderson in the second round of her MMA lightweight bout at ONE Fight Night 10 last weekend.

During the event’s post-fight press conference, Stamp Fairtex was asked her thoughts on her next opponent. She replied:

“I will say that Angela Lee is tougher, she is the toughest opponent I have ever faced in reality.”

Stamp Fairtex challenged Angela Lee for the World Women’s Heavyweight Championship last year and nearly knocked her out in the first round thanks to some massive body shots. However, Lee recovered and submitted the stamps in the second round.

The 25-year-old has rebounded very well since that loss, scoring wins over Jehin Radzwan and Alice Anderson. She even took up kickboxing, taking on Anna ‘Supergirl’ Jaroonsak again in December.

Stamp may not be too worried about Ham Seo Hee during the press conference, but she could reconsider when she begins her preparations for the South Korean MMA veteran. Hamzzang has over 30 professional matches to her name, competing all over the world. She’s won all three of her ONE Championship fights, and will no doubt be motivated to claim the gold on the world stage.

ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong said the show gives the Lee family all the time they need to grieve the loss of Victoria Lee late last year. In the meantime, an interim women’s atomic weight division world title will be established, with Ham Seo Hee and Stamp Vertex now confirmed to be in contention for the belt.

ONE Fight Night 10 reruns can be watched live and free on Amazon Prime in North America.
