Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday said the result of the BJP’s “politics of hate and violence” is for all to see in Manipur, which, according to him, is “on fire as a result”. Gandhi also questioned Modi’s “silence on corruption in Karnataka”.

At a public meeting in Bengaluru’s Pulakeshinagar constituency, Rahul said, “The result of (BJP’s) violence policies is on display in Manipur today. Manipur is burning. But the Chief Minister and Home Minister are campaigning in Karnataka. The reason for the escalation in Manipur is the politics of hate and violence.” Congress It works to unite people.”

Prime Minister Modi said, “He has no right to attend Congress school on the issue of terrorism.” Congress has lost two prime ministers and thousands of workers to terrorism. Two of our family members were martyred because of terrorism. Modigi, have we learned about terrorism? “

Criticizing the chief minister over allegations of corruption against the BJP-led state government, Gandhi said, “How much has each engine of the two-engine government ’40 per cent commission’ in the state received? For the past three years, there has been a party government BJP is in Karnataka and the chief minister is aware of the corruption here. You just call it a dual-engine government. This time, the dual-engine has been stolen.”

He continued to claim “widespread irregularities” in the appointment of police sub-inspectors, assistant professors and assistant engineers and in Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited (KSDL). He also referred to the arrest of Prashanth Madal, son of BJP MLA and former KSDL president Madal Virupakshapa in the alleged cash-for-contracts case in March and the allegations of MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal from last year that “people from Delhi had been approached to offer him the post of chief minister for Rs 2,500 crore.” “.

“The son of an MLA was arrested with Rs 8 crore in cash and BJP MLA said the post of Chief Minister can be bought by paying Rs 2,500 crore,” said Gandhi. “Even a six-year-old is aware of the corruption that happened here in Karnataka. If the theft happened in Karnataka, then Delhi must have benefited. Otherwise, the Chief Minister would have done something for the Karnataka government. I brought up the issue of corruption and I was removed from parliament.” The Prime Minister does not act against those who indulge in corruption.”

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also raised the issue of corruption and said that issues like looting, price hikes and unemployment are the real “terrorism” in Karnataka at present. She made the remarks at a public meeting in Mudbadri, Dakshina Kannada district.

“They don’t talk about (your people’s) real issues. I want to tell the BJP leaders that price hikes, unemployment and 40 percent BJP government corruption are the real extremism.”

She said people should cast their vote on the basis of what the BJP has delivered in the last three years rather than being swayed by its pre-election promises.

Meanwhile, earlier in the day, Gandhi interacted with gig workers and delivery associates from various companies at a hotel in Bengaluru. The party said Gandhi “discussed the lives of delivery workers, the lack of stable employment and the high prices of basic commodities”.

Gandhi later hopped on the backseat and went on a ride with a delivery guy.
