Jason Tatum and the Boston Celtics were looking to get off to a fast start in Game 5 against the Miami Heat. Boston was determined to push the pace and attack the edge early on.

Jayson Tatum, after a quick screen by Al Horford, had an open pass to the basket. He didn’t hesitate and turned on the Jets to leave Kyle Lowry for the slam.

Boston’s All-Star forward grabbed the edge and referee Mark Davis seemed to wonder why there was no foul. Tatum did not return to Davis and pointed out something Davis did not like.

The action earned him a technical, causing the TD Garden crowd to boo Mark Davis. Some sections of the square could be heard chanting:

Jayson Tatum, after an impressive 33-point layoff in Game 4, actually had 12 points after 10 minutes. Boston took an early 16-point lead against the Miami Heat.
