The State Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has invited applications for its annual innovation competition Dare to dream For individuals and startups that aim to advance research in several areas of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and drone technology.
Things to know
- Applications will be submitted in two categories – Individual and Startup.
- Individuals must be citizens of India over the age of 18.
- Startups must be recognized by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
- A maximum of four members, including one team leader, can participate in the individual category.
- Participants must not be a DRDO employee nor family members of a DRDO employee.
- Participants can submit their ideas for innovative solutions in a format 10 fields.
- Entrants will have to select the challenges under which they want to apply. They can advance to up to five areas of challenge.
- The winning individual will receive a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh and the winning startup will receive Rs 10,000.

- Applications will be submitted online.
- Define challenges to apply.
- Submit an essay on the selected challenges. Send attachments in PDF format.

- Entries began January 7, 2023.
- The deadline for submitting entries is February 28, 2023.
