World Tour Mode in Street Fighter 6 is all about shaping your journey to become the ultimate martial arts master. As you venture through the open worlds of Metro City and Nayshall, you’ll encounter many popular characters from the Street Fighter series, which include the likes of Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li. They each come off in World Tour Mode as gentlemen.

If you can develop a high-level bond with your master, you will be able to summon them to the battlefield for a short period of time in order to assist you against your enemies. This is a handy gameplay feature introduced in Street Fighter 6’s World Tour Mode.

However, what if you already have Ryu as your boss and want to change him to Chun-Li in the future? Will you be able to do this via the game settings? Unfortunately, the answer is no. However, there is a way around it.

What to do to change your main assistant in Street Fighter 6

The only way to change Master Assist in Street Fighter 6 is by developing a stronger bond with the Master you want to help you in battles, compared to the one you already have as the default Master Assist.

For example, if you have Chun-Li as your main assistant right now and you want Ken to be the one, you have no choice but to focus more on increasing your Bond level with Ken than with Chun-Li. To put it another way, the master with the highest level of bond with your character automatically becomes your main assistant.

As of now, there are not any specific game settings that allow you to choose Master Assist of your choice. Since you cannot manually change the master you wish to summon on the battlefield, the only option is to deepen your Bond level with your new master.

Once a new Master Bond Level exceeds the levels you established with your previous master, your new Master will be summoned automatically every time you use Master Assist.

You can increase your Bond levels with your master by showering them with gifts, completing their tasks, and progressing enough in the World Tour mode.

That’s all you need to know about the Master Assist feature in Street Fighter 6. Since you can’t change your master manually, and it all depends on the in-game variables in the World Tour mode, it’s recommended that you be a little picky when picking up the right master for your character.
