Real Madrid have confirmed that midfielder Brahim Diaz will return to the club after his three-year loan spell at Milan this summer.

The Spaniard joined Los Blancos from Manchester City in 2019 and made 21 appearances for the club, contributing two goals and making 3 assists. Then he was sent on loan to Milan in 2020.

In three seasons with the Italian team, Diaz made 124 appearances, scoring 18 goals and giving 15 assists. He also won the Italian League title with Milan in the 2021-22 season.

Diaz will now return to the Spanish capital, having signed a new contract with Los Blancos that will expire in 2027. The Spanish giant confirmed in a statement:

“Real Madrid CF announces that on Tuesday, June 13, at 12:00 in Real Madrid City, the presentation ceremony will take place for Brahim Diaz, who will return as a player for our club until June 30, 2027, after being loaned for three seasons in Milanâ€Ĥ”

The statement added:

“Brahim Diaz has been a Real Madrid player since January 2019 and has already won one league and one Spanish Super Cup with our club, before he was loaned to Milan in September 2020. After the presentation ceremony, Brahim Diaz will appear in front of the media.”

Diaz will join Fran Garcia as a new player at the club this summer.
