The Indian Space Research Organization’s (ISRO) UNNATI programme, a two-month training program, was announced during the symposium to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first UNISPACE+50.
tThe Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has invited applications for the UNNATI (UNispace Nanosatellite Assembly and Training by ISRO) training programme, which will be conducted at the UR Rao Satellite Center (URSC), Bengaluru. The two-month session was announced during the symposium to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the first United Nations Conference on the Exploration and Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UNISPACE+50).
This is the third installment of the programme. Candidates from different countries can participate in the program and it will provide an opportunity for participating countries to enhance their capabilities in assembling, integrating and testing nanosatellites.
Things to know:
- A group of 30 participants will be selected and divided into three different groups.
- Each group will work on three segments – nanosatellite assembly, integration and testing.
- The duration of the course is two months.
- Candidates with working knowledge of English can apply.
- The program will provide participants with an opportunity to assemble and test a nanosatellite.
- Engineering and science graduates as well as postgraduates who have the ability to learn space technology, circuit design for various space systems, and management of space systems can apply.
- Each participating country can nominate (any) two members.
- Applicants will be selected based on the priority given to countries that have not benefited from the previous two cohorts.
- Algeria, Argentina, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bhutan, Bolivia, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Chile, Colombia, Egypt, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Malaysia, Magnolia, Mauritius, Mexico, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Panama, Peru, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Tunisia and Vietnam are the countries that previously benefited.
- Satellite applications, mission objectives, mainframe systems, payload systems, data utilization, nanosatellite missions, hands-on nanosatellite assembly, integration, and testing will be the main topics covered in the programme.

- Selected candidates will be given economy class airfare to and from the country of origin to BengaluURSC, boarding and accommodation will be provided by ISRO.
