A 30-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly raping a nine-year-old girl with a knife.
The accused, who is a relative of the minor, took her to his home to serve her ice cream. It was alleged that he then raped her at his house with knives.
After offending the girl, he made her take a bath. The accused also recorded the entire act and threatened to send it to their relatives if she told anyone about the incident.
According to the police, the girl lives with her family and the accused lives in the same neighborhood.
On Friday, around 9 pm, the accused lured the girl with ice cream and asked her to come with him to his house. As I knew him, I went with him.
Upon arriving at his home, the accused put a knife on the girl’s neck and then forced himself on her. He molested and raped the girl and recorded the act on his mobile phone. Later, he made her take a shower and filmed her again,” said a police officer. The officer added that he then threatened to send these videos to their relatives in the village and defame her if she told anyone about them.
The girl went straight home and recounted her ordeal to her parents. Then the parents went to the police and filed a complaint. The girl was sent for a medical examination. Police said she had no physical injuries. On Saturday, a police team went to the accused’s house and arrested him from there.
In fact, cases of child sexual abuse are gradually increasing in Mumbai. Arrested under Sections 376(a) 376(b), 376, 354, 506(2) relating to IPC rape and sexual assault and 4, 6, 8 of the Child Sexual Offenses Protection Act, 67B of the Information Technology Act and 4, 25 of the Weapons Act.
