Australia beat India comprehensively by 209 runs in the final of the 2023 World Test Championship (WTC) to win by shell. The sub-continental side finished as runners-up for the second time in a row after losing to New Zealand in the 2021 World Tennis Championship final.

India started the final day of the 2023 World Tennis Championship final at 164/3 overnight, with Virat Kohli and Ajinkia Rahan swinging. They needed 280 runs to win in the fifth day, while the Australians needed a seven-wicket furlong to bag the puck.

Scott Boland bowled an exceptional spell and constantly tested Rahane and Kohli. His relentless accuracy caused Kohli to lose patience as he chased off off stump to smash a ball to second slip, where he took a blinder to Steve Smith.

Then he sent Australian seamer Ravindra Jadeja down the wing in the same wing to block India’s chase. The sub-continental side could not recover from there as they were bowled out in the first session for just 234 and lost the match by 209 runs.

The fans were very disappointed after India lost yet again in the final of the International Cricket Championship. They expressed their reactions to the matter via Twitter. Here are some of the best:

Captaincy Can’t Bat Can’t Handle Field Can’t Stay Fit Use one less player Rohit Sharma Cricket’s biggest necklace. Get Rohit from captain if you want to win ODI 2023.

I recommend 3 IPLs a year for the ultimate relief and guaranteed victory for an Indian team only. 🙏#WTCFinals

Eight years of dominance in Test cricket by this team, only to falter in two successive World Series finals. If there is one format they need to shine and break the ICC trophy drought, it is undoubtedly Test cricket.

All in the first season. Plenty of time to shower, pack and check out and still have time for duty-free shopping. Excellent layout. #WTCFinals

Find yourself the luckiest Ravi Shastri and Virat Kohli era of Indian cricket unlike Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid who have no achievements

Ganguly was euphoric for the position of BCCI Chairman, Dravid Saab was euphoric for the Head Coach position (by me too), Rohit was euphoric for the leadership, but nothing has changed so far. The process, the intent, the selections, blah blah. I tried now.

The problem is not bowling. He hasn’t bowled for a few years now. It is the “beating” that has failed India. across formats.

“Tak Lunch to Tik Gait Khana Yahin Mil Ja’ta”

A story would be created to blame the Indian bowling, but to eliminate most of the “big game” losses, it is your famous hit that flops. Why are they overwhelmed by the fear of failure? It’s finally time for accountability#IndvAus #WTCfinal

Last time we won an ICC final – We paid $250 for 1GB of data – People shared their BB pins – Vaccine stands for polio

Given the situation last night, it was always going to be Australia’s game. Kohli’s share was the last straw.

An overhaul is required. Ashwin to Capt. Dravid needs to go. Currently, Rohit Sharma simply does not have the composure or fitness to last more than 50-60 balls. The best days of Pujara are over. I loved all of these guys at one time, but for the Indian team they have to go.

After snatching the leadership of BCCI by playing politics, Rohit thought he had done something. Guess what under him, BCCI-Got smashed by Sri Lanka in Asia Cup, Humiliated by England in ICC T20 wc, Humiliated by Australia in ICC WTC final 😭

‘We failed with the bat, we didn’t bat ourselves’ – India captain Rohit Sharma after losing the 2023 World Tennis Championship final against Australia

Speaking at the post-match presentation, Rohit Sharma explained the reasons for their loss and noted that they had failed as a batting unit. He thought his team had started well on the first day with the ball, but Steve Smith and Travis Head played well and took the game away from them.

Sharma said:

“We started well by winning the toss and putting them in these conditions. We played well in the first session but let ourselves down with the way we played. We have to give credit to Travis Head and Smith. We pulled that off. We put in a good showing, fought hard but Well done in Australia.

he added:

“We’ve talked about a lot of things we’ve been talking about tighter bowling lines but it just didn’t work out. You have to stay in the game for five days but slippers didn’t get our way. It was a great comeback from both Rahane and Shardul. They made a good partnership there And they kept us in the game. We played well in the second half. We fell short with the bat, we didn’t apply ourselves.”
