Director and choreographer Prabudhiva and his wife, Dr. Hemani, welcomed their first child together. The couple is blessed with a baby girl.
The director confirmed the news of becoming a father at the age of 50 to The Times of India. He said yes! This is correct. I am a father again at this age (50). I feel very happy and complete.” He also said that he has reduced his workload so that he can spend more time with his family.
Prabhudheva has directed many Hindi, Tamil and Telugu films. It was the last time he was credited as a film director for Salman Khan Rad. He has also directed Hindi films including Wanted (2009), Rowdy Rathore (2012), Ramaiya Vastavaiya (2013) and R… Rajkumar (2014) among others. He has also acted in films besides directing and choreographing.
Prabhudheva married Dr. Hemani in 2020, nine years after his divorce from his first wife, Ramlatha. The director had three children from his first wife, the eldest of whom died in 2008 due to a brain tumor. His two other sons live with their mother.
The director has never appeared in public with his wife. She appeared rarely in a video clip on the occasion of his fiftieth birthday celebration in April 2023, where she expressed her love for him.
She said: “It’s been three years of togetherness and it’s been an amazing journey together. So many things amaze me about you. You’re so disciplined, hardworking and yet the most delightful person. You set an example of how a person can be glorious, funny, caring and loving. You’re gifted with a sense of humour. And your presence keeps the atmosphere happy all the time. I am lucky and blessed to be married to you.”
