Nick Taylor and Tommy Fleetwood reached the final round drawn and had to enter a play-off, where Taylor sank a stunning eagle to seal a victory from Fleetwood, who had to settle for the P2 finale.

Rory McIlroy reached the final round 12 Under Par and that is exactly where he finished. It might have been a little disappointing considering he finished five shots behind the leaders, but it was another strong showing at the Canadian Open.

There was a time after McIlroy rose to world No. 1 that he began to fall apart in the Masters and other tournaments. He has not returned to this prestigious ranking, but he has been playing very well lately.

Matt Fitzpatrick also had a chance to win but had a less than stellar final to finish eight under par. The Englishman was in contention for victory but will have to settle for a tie for 20th place.

Ludvig Aberg, who gained PGA Tour membership after dominating college, made an appearance over the weekend, posting an impressive -7 showing that earned him a tie for 25th.

Harry Hole, who briefly stormed the world in The Charles Schwab Challenge, continued his strong form. He finished six under par to cement himself as someone to watch.

Sam Burns, Michael Block, Hank LeBioda and others fell short of the goal and were unable to play the final round.
