Rhea Ripley receiving a new championship belt was a foregone conclusion of WWE’s solution to avoid the title swaps that had occurred in the past due to the WWE draft. However, a major male star cut short the celebrations for the WWE World Women’s Champion.
Adam Pearce introduced the new WWE Women’s Title on RAW, similar to Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship. Dominic Mysterio charged into the ring to surround Mamie with the title before declaring that behind every great woman is a great man. But in just a couple of minutes, they were interrupted by Cody Rhodes.
Of course, Cody Rhodes’ case wasn’t with Rhea Ripley but with Dominic Mysterio. Last week on Miz TV, Dominic and Cody had a verbal confrontation as the former slapped The American Nightmare before hiding behind Rhea Ripley.
Cody began verbally berating Dominique Mysterio and challenged him to a match at Money in the Bank.
As for Ripley, her celebrations are cut short, but she tells Cody Rhodes that Dominic is more of a man than he could dream of. Then I accepted the challenge on behalf of Dominic.
