Bangladesh and Afghanistan will battle it out in a test match at Sher Bangla National Stadium this week. The match will start on Wednesday morning and is scheduled to end on Sunday.

It is only the second Test match between Bangladesh and Afghanistan in the history of cricket. Their first meeting was held at Zohoor Ahmad Chowdhury Stadium in 2019, where Afghanistan recorded a huge win over Bangladesh.

Afghanistan will play a test match at Sher Bangla National Stadium for the first time this week. Before the match begins, here’s a look at the stadium’s history.

Bangladesh has a decent record in Tests hosted by Dhaka. They have won seven of the 25 tests on this ground. The visiting teams won 15 test matches, while three of them ended in draws.

Lorcan Tucker’s century ensured Ireland avoided an innings defeat, but they could only set a target of 138 runs for Bangladesh. The home team chased it down with seven wickets in hand.
