Officials said residents of Tower G, D, E and F of Chintels Paradiso in Gurugram Sector 109 have been asked to vacate the premises within 15 days after the latest audit report declared the buildings unsafe for habitation. Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav issued an order to vacate G Tower on Tuesday on the basis of the audit report issued on June 2 by an expert panel from the International Institute of Technology, Delhi.

according to PTI Report, this is the fourth tower of the Chintels Paradiso Residential Society that has been declared unsafe by the expert panel. Earlier, Towers D, E and F were declared unsafe after structural audits. Last year, two people died when Tower D partially collapsed.

We cannot compromise the safety of residents. They need to get out for their own safety. “We have confirmed and will ensure the implementation of the agreed buy-back,” Yadav added.

The residential complex includes nine towers in total. The 14-storey Tower G has 56 apartments.

“Using the powers vested in Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code and Section 34 of the Disaster Management Act 2005, the Tower shall be evacuated. Legal action will be taken against those who breach the orders under Section 188 of the International Penal Code and Sections 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act 2005 , as stated in the order.

However, the residents of Tower G opposed the furlough orders and demanded that alternative accommodation be arranged by either the authorities or the developer.

“The authorities and the developer must provide alternative housing or rent for the owners if they are forced to vacate these apartments,” he quoted the owner of the Tower G apartment. Hindustan Times According to him.
