The aim is to turn Ayodhya into one of the most beautiful cities in the world, according to a state government statement cited by UP CM.

Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the idol’s consecration at the next Ram temple in this city in January.

Addressing a public meeting in Ayodhya, he said development projects worth Rs 32,000 crore are now underway in Ayodhya and no other city in the country can match the scale of development here.

A statement issued by the state government quoting him said the aim is to transform Ayodhya into one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Referring to the Ramayana, Adityanath said that the next flight service in Ayodhya would be a reminder of Pushpak Viman, who was used by Lord Ram to reach the city after the victory over Lanka.

He praised Ayodhya as among the most prosperous of cities and regions, likening it to Ramrajya which was founded in the period of the legendary ‘Trita Yug’.

“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ayodhya today not only embodies the spirit of Ramrajya, but also inspires the entire nation,” said Adityanath.

“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, Ayodhya, Mathura, Vrindavan, Prayagraj, Shravasti, Naimesh Tirtha, Kashi and Kushinagar are being developed. There is no dearth of funds for development,” he said.

He added, “We have stopped the looting of public money, and this money is being invested in development.” Speaking of completing nine years of Modi’s government, Adityanath asked party workers to start a door-to-door campaign highlighting his achievements. Adityanath also met Champ Rai, General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhumi Trust, at Karsevakpuram and Mahant Nritya Gopal Das at Maniram Das Chavani during his trip to Ayodhya.
