Islamabad (Pakistan): Pakistan’s Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announced that petrol and diesel prices will be kept unchanged, ARY News reports.

Earlier, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said that petrol prices will fall further ahead of the 2023-24 budget. He said the IMF had no problems with targeted subsidies.
The Pakistani government on May 31 reduced the prices of petrol, diesel and other petroleum products for a period of 15 days. He announced the reduction of the price of petrol by 8 rupees per liter, the price of diesel by 5 rupees per liter and light diesel by 5 rupees within the next 15 days.
The new price has been reduced from 270 rupees to 262 rupees per liter for petrol, diesel from 258 rupees to 253 rupees per liter and light diesel from 152 rupees to 147 rupees per litre. No changes have been made to the kerosene price which is stable at Rs 164.70 per liter. The new prices for petroleum prices came into effect from June 1.
This was the third consecutive cut Prices of petroleum products in Pakistan Since April, according to ARY News.
