The player explained the origins of her love for the game. She said it came from the family. Centasso added that she had a passion for running and started playing basketball. She said:
“The interest in sports was not inherited from the family. At home they pushed me towards music, dancing and playing the piano. But I wanted to run. So, as a kid, I got closer to basketball.”
Centasso left basketball when she was 20 years old as her soccer skills grew. Her partner, Andrea Migliorini, is also a soccer player and currently plays in the Italian league.
Players like Centasso are looking to make women’s football more visible than it is now. The Italian has certainly caught the attention of fans so far with her social media posts.
