In the recently announced Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) – Advanced Results, Yuvaraj Gupta, a student from Mumbai, emerged as a Maharashtrian student with a score of 315/360. With a rank of 13th in All India, Gupta is delighted to be able to pursue his dream course in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) at IIT Bombay.

The Gupta family, residents of Kandivali, moved to Andheri to facilitate Yuvaraj’s attendance at Narayana E Tecno School in Marol, where he prepared for the JEE-Advanced. “The last two years have been devoted solely to studying,” said Yuvaraj, who is determined to put in all the necessary efforts to secure a comfortable future.

As the son of two doctors, Yuvaraj always showed a strong inclination towards mathematics and physics. Dr. Anu Gupta, Dentist, shared: “Since childhood, all his extracurricular reading revolved around science, astronomy, etc. He had no interest in biology.”

While Yuvaraj used to play cricket and football, the past two years have been focused solely on JEE preparation. I was studying 12 to 15 hours a day. The only break was for some chatting with friends from the institute. It was really refreshing,” said Yuvaraj, who attributes his achievement to his teachers. He also wants to encourage other students who are preparing for competitive exams to ask as many questions as possible.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati announced the results of JEE Advanced 2023 on Sunday. Qualifying cut-off marks saw a significant increase across categories, with a total of 43,773 out of 180,372 candidates clearing the entrance test for admission to undergraduate programs at 23 institutes of technology across India.

Vavilala Chidvilas Reddy from Hyderabad district took first place in JEE-Advanced 2023 with a score of 341/360. girl topper this year, Nayakanti Naga Bhavya Sri, also hails from Hyderabad district with an overall score of 298/360.

In the IIT Bombay region, which includes Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa and Karnataka, a total of 31,788 candidates are registered for JEE Advanced. Out of these, 29,758 candidates appeared for the examination, and 7,957 qualified for admission into IIT, including 1,330 girls. Out of the top 500 candidates in JEE Advanced, 103 are from IIT Bombay.
