The Chief Minister has instructed the State Minister for Higher Education Mohan Yadav to prepare a list of religious places associated with Lord Krishna so that a plan can be drawn up for their development.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan announced that the sites associated with Lord Krishna in the state will be developed in a systematic manner. House elections in the Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled state are scheduled for later this year.

Speaking at a program for Yadav community in Indore on Sunday, Chauhan said, “We have left no stone unturned in developing Sandipani Ashram in Ujjain, where Lord Krishna received his education. We will gradually develop other places associated with Lord Krishna in the state.” He said the development of places associated with Lord Krishna It is a duty and not a matter of policy. “The development of places of worship for Lord Krishna in the state will inspire everyone because Shri Krishna belongs to all and the whole world is in Him.”

The Chief Minister instructed the State Minister for Higher Education Mohan Yadav, who was present on the occasion, to prepare a list of religious places associated with Lord Krishna so that a plan could be drawn up for their development. Chauhan also said that the amount given to cow shelters from the government treasury has been increased four times so that the cows can be properly fed and cared for.

He said there would be a simplification of policies regarding the operation of “cowsheds” in the state. The chief minister said the state government had issued a strict law against cow slaughter and it would be strictly enforced.

Chauhan also announced the development of a memorial and statue of Rao Tolaram, martyr of the freedom struggle of 1857, in Indore, the installation of a statue in memory of the award-winning Padma Shri gynecologist Bhakti Yadav, and cooperation in the construction. A hostel for students of Yadav Community. The chief minister assured that the Yadav community would get “appropriate representation” in the state.
