“The child was brought in dehydrated and immediately put on fluids. He is now stable and under observation in the intensive care unit. Dr. Yousaf Rizvi, chief medical officer at GDMCH, was quoted as saying that there were no injuries or physical problems with him.

The report quoted police as saying the couple moved into rented accommodation on Turner Road four months ago. The man worked in a crane while his wife was a housewife. They got married a year ago.
